In the past month, Marian Rivera was praised for being on the cover of Yes Magazine’s 100 Most Beautiful Women. She is beautiful, but she is also very successful. There are upcoming movies and TV shows lined up for the beautiful star. Filipinos all over the world have been anticipating the release of her new TV show, “Darna”. The first pilot episode was a complete success that showed a 44.1 percent rating. She is crowned the “Queen of Primetime”. It is fitting as she continuous to enliven our lives with her acting skills in shows such as “Mari-mar, Dyesebel and Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang”

She will also be appearing in a sitcom with Manny Pacquiao called “Show Me The Manny”. The set as she described was entertaining and relaxed. It will surely show a different side of Marian Rivera as oppose to the serious and strong woman we see in Darna.

“Tarot”, her new horror movie with Dennis Trillo, will surely make fans scream in anticipation. “Tarot” is about Cara (Marian Rivera) who has the ability to see the future with her grandmother’s tarot cards. But the tarot cards are no ordinary cards for they are cursed. It is up to Cara to destroy the curse within the cards.

There is no doubt we will see more of Marian Rivera. She has proven her talent in the past. I can only anticipate great things from a woman who has the gift of entertaining people with her acting. She may have Dingdong Dantes’ heart, but she has also won the hearts of the Filipinos.

Maybe it is because of Marian’s sucessful career with numerous shows like Mari-mar, Ang Babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang, Dysebel and more.

In the Original Korean Series, Stairway to Heaven is about two childhood friends namely Han Jung Suh and Cha Song Joo who gets separated by unforseen impediments and challenges. They both fell in love with each other but things started to change when Han Jung Suh’s father remarried. Jung Suh’s life dramatically changed because of her stepmom and her daughters. Song Joo left for America and Jung Suh was left alone. Jung Suh faced difficult challenges like Amnesia, cancer and more.

The series is practically a big drama but i think it will be interesting to see how the filipino version will differ. I hope they put some comedy into the series to make it a bit more light becuase based on the plot, everything seems to be one challenge to another. Some of the things that will also happen seems to be unbelievable. Dingdong Dantes is a good actor, I hope he can bring his personality and character to the tv show. The leading lady will also be crucial to the plot. I hope they choose the right actress for the job. The show needs some filipino twist, but overall i bet filipinos will love the drama in the series.

In this teleserye version, it is about Homer Alcaraz (Dingdong Dantes), a young man who leads a boring life. His relationship with Helene Barrientos (Angelu De Leon), his fiancé, is falling apart and yet he is oblivious from it. He wakes up one morning, only to find Proserfina J. Valdez (Marian Rivera) an intriguingly beautiful woman, lying beside him..

Did you also know that the title in english means, “The woman pulled from my rib”. I remembered about the story of Adam and Eve.

So The Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, He took one of the man’s ribs [also translated took part of the man's side] and closed up the place with flesh. Then The Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man. The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.” For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh.” (Genesis 2:21-24)

I guess the title was used because it resonates the story of Adam and Eve. I think viewers can expect intrigue, deception and temptation to be the themes of the show. Temptation becuase Eve tempted Adam to eat the forbidden fruit. Deception because Eve tricked Adam to taste the forbidden fruit. It will be interesting to see some of these themes in a series and how it is portrayed. So buy a copy now and enjoy the show.
